Instead of traditional stage-based performances, Indie Island focuses on playable worlds where music, gameplay and experience fully merge.
This is not about recreating live shows.
It’s about inventing new formats for live music, inside Fortnite.
Zeevlinder is the first indie artist to explore the possibilities of hybrid concerts in Fortnite.
This concert blends musical identity with interactive level design, gameplay mechanics and immersive storytelling.

Indie Island is a collaborative initiative dedicated to DIY Fortnite concert creation.
Artists, pop venues and digital makers work together to explore how live music can take new forms inside Fortnite through interactive, immersive worlds.
Each Indie Island concert is both:
- An artistic statement
- A technical experiment
The knowledge gained through these experiments is actively shared, so others can learn, adapt and build their own Fortnite concert experiences.
Indie Island functions as an XP Hub; a shared learning space where creation, experimentation and knowledge exchange take center stage.

The Indie Island XP Hub is actively being developed.
We are currently working on step-by-step guidelines and DIY resources that will make Fortnite concert creation more accessible.
These resources will include:
- Fortnite Creative & UEFN templates
- World-building and performance examples
- Interaction and show-design patterns
- Practical creative and technical workflows
Rather than waiting until everything is complete, Indie Island is built in the open; sharing progress, insights and experiments as they happen.
